I first met Rob on 2nd September 2017. I can be precise because the next day, on Facebook, Rob wrote, "Nice meeting Richard Johnson at Trifest yesterday." I responded, "Likewise, Robert. As a resident on the Sutton side of Worcester Park, it was a delight to cross the borough border and have a down to earth chat, with a straight-talking local Councillor." Rob was practical and hands-on. He focused on getting things done, rather than talk around it or focus on the difficulties. When something needed talking through, he was plain speaking and to the point, with a delightful West Country accent. RIP Rob, you will be much missed, especially in Cuddington.
