It was such a shock to Julia and I to learn that Robert was the Marshall killed in the racing accident at Brands Hatch last Saturday. He and Rosemary were such a lovely couple and it was delightful to be see them enjoy their term as Mayor and Mayoress of Epsom and Ewell. Robert was delighted to be the President of the Epsom and Ewell orchestra when we saw him at one of their concerts at the Ashley Centre. Robert was a stalwart as Councillor for Cuddington Ward and will be greatly missed at our meetings of the Cuddington Residents Association. Rosemary’s loss was a great tragedy for him which he bore with great resolve and courage. They will both be remembered with love and appreciation for all that they did for the CRA.
