Very sad to hear of the terrible accident that took the life of a dear friend. Robert was completely devoted to the community and beyond in this Borough. A wonderful Mayor with Rosemary as his Mayoress. It was a privilege to have been a fellow councillor over the 18 years we were colleagues. He carried on after the passing of his ‘Rosemary’ with his usual devotion to the community. Always there volunteering. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace Robert. Ex councillor Jean Steer
