Robert was an aeromodeller as well as being all the other things that he talked about. To me it was clear that his main hobby was all to do with cars but as he was a full size plane pilot he also had an abiding interest in aeromodelling. He used to fly with us on the Downs, not on a regular basis but enough for him to garner the total enjoyment that can only be had from piloting a plane through our blue skies.
