A tragic loss of dear Robert and so soon after the passing of his loving Rosemary. Robert was always so approachable and willing to discuss in a most listenable West Country dialect, local affairs and his love of transport and all things mechanical. He was a most competent engineer. His excellent mayoralty and service to the Borough in 2014/15 remains in my memory, particularly the commemoration event on Epsom Downs of 100 years since Kitchener's inspection and march with troops in World War1.
